These Lithium iron phosphate cell (LiFePO4), also called LFP (lithium ferro-phosphate) has a cathode of iron phosphate, an anode of graphite, and has a 3.2V nominal working voltage. The cycle life is more than 4 to 5 times that of other lithium ion cells. The operating temperature range is wider and safer, better power density, low discharge rate, flat discharge curve, low heat and chemically more stable compared to other lithium chemistries.
